8th of 15 at Division III Preview

Junior Justin Schroeder (Shelby) led the Bishops at the Division III Preview tournament, hosted by Oglethorpe University on Saturday and Sunday at Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla.

Huntingdon and Methodist shared the tournament title, each with an 898, topping Oglethorpe by 10 shots. Nebraska Wesleyan and Otterbein tied for fourth at 909, followed by Guilford (917), Emory (918), Ohio Wesleyan (929), LaGrange (938), Rhodes (938), LeTourneau (940), Greensboro (941), Skidmore (945), Wesley (950) and the University of the South (1008).

Schroeder tied for 12th place among individuals with a 10-over-par 226. Junior Doug McCullough (Sleepy Hollow, Ill./St. Edward) finished in a tie for 28th place with a 232, junior Gerard Duffy (Charlotte, N.C./Canterbury School) tied for 51st place with a 239, junior Paul Bertoli (Concord, Mass./Concord-Carlisle) finished in a tie for 57th place at 242 and freshman Jeff Tynik (Glen Rock, N.J./Don Bosco) tied for 73rd place with a 255.
