Lynchburg 11, Ohio Wesleyan 3

Billy McCulloch scored twice as Lynchburg opened the game with a 5-0 run and went on to defeat Ohio Wesleyan in non-conference action on Saturday in Lynchburg, Va.

Ohio Wesleyan closed to within 5-2 on a pair of goals by senior attacker John Schlegel (Chevy Chase, Md./Gonzaga) early in the second quarter, but McCulloch scored 3 straight goals for Lynchburg to give the Hornets an 8-2 halftime lead.

Schlegel's 2 goals led the Bishops, while junior midfielder Kevin Lakani (Riverwoods, Ill./Loyola Academy) added a second-half goal to wrap up the Ohio Wesleyan scoring.

McCulloch finished with a team-high 6 goals for Lynchburg. Ryan Cranston added 3 goals and Brian McCulloch had a goal and 3 assists.

Senior Paul McCommons (Smyrna, Del./Dover) had 15 saves in the Bishop goal. Garrett Curran had 13 saves in the Lynchburg goal.
