Salisbury 18, Ohio Wesleyan 7

Dan Boyer and Mac Chase combined for 7 goals and 2 assists to lead 2-time defending NCAA Division III national champion Salisbury over Ohio Wesleyan on Sunday at Salisbury, Md.

Ohio Wesleyan had taken an early 2-1 lead, but the Sea Gulls used a 10-0 run over a span of 16:48 of the second and third periods to seal the win.

Senior attacker John Schlegel (Chevy Chase, Md./Gonzaga) led the Bishops with 3 goals, while junior attacker Jarred Law (Littleton, Colo./Arapahoe), senior midfielder Jason Balmer (Park City, Utah/Forman School), junior midfielder Kevin Lakani (Riverwoods, Ill./Loyola Academy) and sophomore Chad Pouliot (Ridgewood, N.J.) also scored for the Bishops.

Boyer scored 4 goals and handed out a pair of assists, while Chase scored 3 times and Chris Phillips added 2 goals and 3 assists.

Senior Paul McCommons (Smyrna, Del./Dover) had 12 saves in the Bishop goal. Dan Korpon 11 saves for Salisbury.
