NCAC title outright by defeating Wooster next Tuesday.

for a 3-1 Ohio Wesleyan lead.
Wittenberg closed to within 3-2 late in the first quarter and to within

goal to give Ohio Wesleyan a 5-3 halftime lead.
Schlegel then scored less than 2 minutes into the third quarter, and freshman
attacker Nick Gallagher (Columbus/Dublin Scioto) followed with a goal
to make it 7-3 in favor of Ohio Wesleyan, but Jay Shimko scored to bring
the Tigers within 7-4.
From there, Schlegel took over, ringing up an unassisted goal with 3:40
left in the third quarter and then scoring off a feed from junior attacker
Jarred Law (Littleton, Colo./Arapahoe) with 3:05 left in the period. Schlegel
then fed sophomore midfielder Jon Lewis (Columbus/Upper Arlington) for
a score with :46 left in the quarter and finished off the flurry with
an unassisted goal 14 seconds later.
Schlegel added a goal 44 seconds into the fourth quarter to increase the
Ohio Wesleyan lead to 12-4.
Schlegel led all players with 6 goals and 2 assists. Freshman midfielder
Chris Eccles (Secane, Pa./Monsignor Bonner) added 2 goals and freshman
midfielder Harrison Iuliano (Mendham, N.J./Blair Academy), McCommons and
Law each contributed a goal and an assist.
