Denison 98, Ohio Wesleyan 50

Senior Matt Woyma (Cleveland/St. Ignatius) won an event to lead Ohio Wesleyan in a dual meet against Denison on Saturday in Granville. Complete results

Woyma won the 500 freestyle in a time of 5:40.22 and added a third in the 1650 freestyle.

Other standouts for the Bishops included senior Shannon Beis (Columbus/Upper Arlington), who was second in the 50 freestyle and the 100 butterfly; senior Joe Woyma (Cleveland/St. Ignatius), who finished second in the 100 and 200 freestyles; junior Sebastian Gorham (Mill Valley, Calif./North Bay Marin), who placed second in the 1-meter diving; junior Julian Erickson (Yellow Springs), who was third in the 50 freestyle and the 100 backstroke; and junior Forrest Filler (Princeton, N.J.), who finished third in the 100 freestyle.
