at Wooster Cross Country Festival

Sophomore Matt Kempton (Fredericktown) won individual honors to lead Ohio Wesleyan at the Wooster Cross Country Festival on Friday at Wooster. The meet was not scored.

Kempton turned in the day's best time, covering the 5000-meter course in 16:35.

Sophomore Kevin Goehring (Ann Arbor, Mich./Pioneer) finished fifth in 16:53, sophomore Seth Moore (Xenia/Yellow Springs) was 10th in 17:15, freshman Peter MacLeod (Hudson) placed 12th in 17:22, sophomore Doug Sampson (Ridgewood, N.J.) was 13th in 17:25 and sophomore Will Crabtree (Winchester, Mass.) recorded a 16th-place finish in 17:33.

Also competing for the Bishops were senior Josh Warner (Fremont/Ross), who finished 26th in 18:03; and freshman Phil Hardymon (Upper Arlington), who placed 43rd in 19:34.
