1st of 11 at Earlham Invitational

Sophomore Kevin Goehring (Ann Arbor, Mich./Pioneer), sophomore Doug Sampson (Ridgewood, N.J.) and sophomore Seth Moore (Xenia/Yellow Springs) led Ohio Wesleyan to the team title of the Earlham Invitational on Saturday in Richmond, Ind.

Ohio Wesleyan compiled 34 points to win by a comfortable margin over runner-up Rose-Hulman's total of 72. Host Earlham was third with 76 points, followed by Hanover (105), Manchester (118), Wittenberg (174), Franklin (187), Heidelberg (189), Anderson (194), Mount St. Joseph (326) and Central State (359).

Goehring, Sampson and Moore finished 4-5-6 among individuals in respective times of 27:25, 27:28 and 27:31.

Freshman Peter MacLeod (Hudson) placed ninth in 27:45 and sophomore Matt Kempton (Fredericktown) completed the Bishop scoring with a 10th-place finish in 27:57.

Sophomore Will Crabtree (Winchester, Mass.) finished 13th in 28:05 and freshman Doug Herman (Bryan) was 31st in 29:01.
