Sophomore Matt Kempton (Fredericktown) led the Bishops at the All-Ohio Intercollegiate Cross Country Championship on Friday at the Methodist Theological School in Delaware. Complete Results

The 22nd-place finish was Ohio Wesleyan's best at the All-Ohio meet since 1983, when the Bishops placed 19th in a 34-team field.

Kempton finished 53rd among individuals, covering the 8000-meter course in 27:33.3. Sophomore Kevin Goehring (Ann Arbor, Mich./Pioneer) finished 115th in 28:39.6, sophomore Seth Moore (Xenia/Yellow Springs) was 126th in 28:50.0, sophomore Will Crabtree (Winchester, Mass.) finished 128th in 28:51.0 and freshman Peter MacLeod (Hudson) completed the Bishop scoring with a 159th-place finish in 29:24.9.

Sophomore Doug Sampson (Ridgewood, N.J.) was 161st in 29:28.5 and freshman Doug Herman (Bryan) finished in 193rd place in 30:21.5.
