Ohio Wesleyan jumped to a 3-0 lead on a long-range jumper by senior wing Kelly Heil (Sylvania/Southview) and bumped the lead to 5-1 on a pair of Heil free throws with 17:42 left in the first half. The Bishops then took a 12-7 lead as sophomore post Tifini Ray (
Hilliard/Davidson) and senior post Shelby Larson (Arlington Heights, Ill./Rolling Meadows) each sank a pair of free throws.

Kenyon rallied with a pair of baskets by Katy Zeanah and another by Allison Lebar to take a 13-12 lead, but the Bishops tied the game at 13-13 on Brizendine's free throw with 4:45 left in the period. The Ladies then scored the next 7 points, with Zeanah converting a 3-point play and a basket sandwiched around a pair of Hilary Gowins free throws to take a 20-13 lead with 3:12 left in the period, and Kenyon went into the half holding a 24-18 advantage.

The Ladies extended their lead to 36-24 on Alisha Moreno's 3-pointer with 13:02 left in regulation time before Ohio Wesleyan came back.

Brizendine started the Bishop rally with a basket and Heil followed with a pair of free throws before a steal and basket by junior guard Amanda Nanney (Cincinnati/Mother of Mercy) cut the lead to 36-30. Cooper followed with a bucket at the midway point of the half to make it a 36-32 game, and after a Kenyon turnover, the Bishops got closer when Brizendine was fouled on a third-chance offensive rebound. Brizendine hit the second of the 2 free throws to bring the Bishops within 36-33 with 9:15 to play.

Megan Sheasby hit a lay-in for Kenyon with 8:22 to play, ending the Ladies' scoring drought at 4:40 and hiking the margin to 38-33, and after the teams traded points twice to make it a 42-37 game, Zeanah sank a lay-in with 3:13 to go to kick off the key 9-0 run. On Kenyon's next possession Zeanah was fouled and hit the first free throw and missed the second, but she ran down the offensive rebound and called time, and the Ladies eventually scored on that possession when Gowins canned a jumper with 2:03 left, making it a 47-37 game. Lebar followed with 2 free throws at the 1:36 mark and Zeanah added a basket with 1:04 remaining to give Kenyon a 51-37 lead.

Heil led the Bishops with 12 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, while Brizendine finished with 10 points and led all players with a career-high 19 boards.

Brizendine represented the Bishops on the all-tournament team.

Zeanah led Kenyon with 23 points and Lebar finished with 12 points and a team-high 9 rebounds. Anne Dugan had 2 assists for the Ladies.
