at NCAA Division III Tournament

Junior Kelly Glassburn (Westerville/Columbus DeSales) was defeated in the first round of the NCAA Division III women's tennis singles championship on Saturday at Kalamazoo College in Kalamazoo, Mich.

Glassburn was defeated by Carina Alberelli of Emory by scores of 7-6 (2), 6-3. Alberelli is the No. 1 singles player for the Eagles, who won their third consecutive NCAA Division III team championship on Friday. Alberelli also is a member of the Eagles' No. 1 doubles team.

Glassburn was making her second consecutive appearance in the NCAA Division III tournament. She also lost in the first round last year.

Glassburn finished the spring season with a record of 10-7.
