at OWU Relays

Sophomore Jillian Snyder (Lakewood) and sophomore Amanda Husted (Springfield/Greenon) led the Bishops at the inaugural OWU Relays meet on Wednesday at Dornoch Golf Club.

The meet was run in relay format. The teams were split into pairs of runners, with team members alternating 3 laps of a 1-mile loop for a total of 6 miles.

Capital and Columbus State also competed in the meet, which was not scored.

Snyder and Husted combined to turn in the lowest time in the meet, totaling 40:44 for 6 miles. Junior Meggie Feran (Kirtland) and freshman Donna Langerfeld (Syracuse, NY/Westhill) combined to finish third in 42:04 and sophomore Andrea Minich (Plymouth/Willard) and sophomore Marie Rymut (Brecksville/Brecksville-Broadview Heights) teamed to finish fourth in 42:27.

Also competing for Ohio Wesleyan were junior Nina DiTraglia (Portsmouth/Gilmour Academy) and freshman Maddy Pinault (Fair Haven, NJ/Rumson-Fair Haven), who finished sixth in 44:15; sophomore Wendy Farrell (Fremont/Ross) and senior Erin Eilbeck (Berea), who placed eighth in 44:50; senior Kim Rybold (Strongsville) and freshman Jessica Nare (Camarillo, Calif./Adolfo Camarillo), who were ninth in 47:08; and junior Megan First (Doylestown/Chippewa) and freshman Amber Douglas (Bellville/Fredericktown), who placed 11th in 50:45.
