5th of 10 at Earlham Invitational

Sophomore Amanda Husted (Springfield/Greenon) led the Bishops at the Earlham Invitational on Saturday at Richmond, Ind.

Hanover won the meet with 54 points to 73 for host Earlham. Manchester placed third with 77 points, followed by Franklin (93), Ohio Wesleyan (98), Rose-Hulman (127), Heidelberg (187), Wittenberg (229), Mount St. Joseph (246) and Central State (312).

Husted finished sixth among individuals, finishing the 5000-meter course in a time of 19:52. Freshman Donna Langerfeld (Syracuse, NY/Westhill) placed 18th in 20:51, sophomore Andrea Minich (Plymouth/Willard) was 21st in 20:54 and junior Nina DiTraglia (Portsmouth/Gilmour Academy) finished 25th in 21:07. Sophomore Marie Rymut (Brecksville/Brecksville-Broadview Heights) completed the Bishop scoring with a 28th-place finish in 21:11.

Sophomore Wendy Farrell (Fremont/Ross) finished 29th in 21:13 and freshman Jessica Nare (Camarillo, Calif./Adolfo Camarillo) finished 44th in 21:59.
