7th of 9 at NCAC championship

Junior Meggie Feran (Kirtland) led the Bishops at the North Coast Athletic Conference championship meet, hosted by Allegheny College on Saturday in Meadville, Pa.

Denison won the meet with 34 points to 58 for runner-up Kenyon. Allegheny placed third with 62 points, followed by Wooster (100), Oberlin (101), Earlham (166), Ohio Wesleyan (168), Wittenberg (255) and Hiram (291).

Feran finished 25th among individuals, covering the 5000-meter course in a time of 25:11. Junior Nina DiTraglia (Portsmouth/Gilmour Academy) finished 27th in 25:16, sophomore Amanda Husted (Springfield/Greenon) placed 37th in 25:15.23, freshman Donna Langerfeld (Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill) was 42nd in 26:17 and sophomore Andrea Minich (Plymouth/Willard) completed the Bishop scoring with a 43rd-place finish in 26:19.

Sophomore Marie Rymut (Brecksville/Brecksville-Broadview Heights) was 48th in 26:29 and sophomore Wendy Farrell (Fremont/Ross) finished 49th in 26:37.
