Oberlin broke a 1-1 halftime tie with 3 second-half scores and went on to defeat Ohio Wesleyan in North Coast Athletic Conference play on Wednesday at Oberlin.

Oberlin and Ohio Wesleyan now share first place in the NCAC, both with a 3-1 record in conference competition.

The Yeowomen took a 1-0 lead with 24:30 left in the first half when Lela Hull converted a pass from Meg Reitz.

Ohio Wesleyan evened the game on an unassisted score by sophomore midfielder Maggie Donovan (Westport, Conn./Staples) with 16:00 left in the first half.

Oberlin took the lead for good when Abigail Brox scored on a penalty corner with 25:40 left in regulation time. The Yeowomen added an insurance goal when Hull scored her second goal of the game, this with 20:05 left to play, and sealed the outcome when Christine Castilla converted a Reitz pass off a penalty corner with 4:02 remaining.

Sophomore Katie Jones (Pine Plains, N.Y./Stissing Mountain) stopped 12 shots in the Ohio Wesleyan cage, while Oberlin's Lauren Malinowski was credited with 1 save. Oberlin outshot Ohio Wesleyan, 16-2.
