Lindsay Tingley's goal midway through the first half gave Wooster the lead and the Fighting Scots held off Ohio Wesleyan during the second half to take a North Coast Athletic Conference win on Wednesday at Wooster.

The Fighting Scots broke a scoreless tie with 15:29 left in the first half when Tingley scored from in traffic in front of the Ohio Wesleyan cage.

Ohio Wesleyan battled back in the second half, firing 4 shots at Wooster keeper Anne Leigh, but Leigh stopped 3 of them to preserve the shutout.

Sophomore Katie Jones (Pine Plains, N.Y./Stissing Mountain) stopped 8 shots in the Ohio Wesleyan cage. Wooster outshot Ohio Wesleyan, 22-4.
