Rory Hotaling (Yellow Springs) led the Bishops at the Camp Lejeune Intercollegiate
Invitational on Friday and Saturday at Camp Lejeune, N.C.
The tournament is played on two courses, with each team playing one round
on the Scarlet course and one round on the Gold course. The top half of
the field then plays the third round on the tougher Gold course.
Johnson & Wales won the tournament with an 856, finishing 11 shots
ahead of Oglethorpe. Greensboro was third with an 871, followed by Guilford
and Huntingdon (872), Methodist (878), Christopher Newport (881), Savannah
Art & Design (885) and Clarion (888). Ohio Wesleyan rounded out the
top 10 with a score of 889, followed by Barton (893), Indiana (Pa.) and
Rhodes (896), Cape Fear and Randolph-Macon (899) and DePauw (903).
Hotaling finished in a tie for 22nd place with a 220. Freshman Jeff Nieman
(Loveland/Cincinnati Moeller) tied for 28th place with a 222, senior Justin
Schroeder (Shelby)
finished in a tie for 40th place at 224, freshman
Kyle Martin (Dublin/Wellington) tied
for 46th place with a 225 and senior
Doug McCullough (Sleepy Hollow, Ill./St. Edward) tied for 52nd place at
226.
