1st of 4 at OWU Fall Invitational

Senior Justin Schroeder (Shelby) led the Bishops at the OWU Fall Invitational on Tuesday at Oakhaven Golf Club.

The 36-hole event was the first fall tournament hosted by Ohio Wesleyan at its home course since 1996, the last year that Ohio Wesleyan's Strimer Invitational was played in the fall.

Ohio Wesleyan won the tournament with a 589. Baldwin-Wallace finished second with a 612, Denison was third at 625, Columbus State was fourth at 648 and Capital finished fifth with a 659. Otterbein's Zach Sebert, competing as an individual, took medalist honors with a 3-under-par 139. Complete Results

Schroeder finished second among individuals with a one-over-par 143. Senior Doug McCullough (Sleepy Hollow, Ill./St. Edward) was third with a 144 and sophomore Rory Hotaling (Yellow Springs) finished fifth with a 146. Freshman Kyle Martin (Dublin/Wellington) tied for 23rd with a 157 and junior Jeff Price (Dublin/Worthington Kilbourne) tied for 29th place at 161.
