2nd of 15 at Denison Fall Classic

Senior Justin Schroeder (Shelby) led the Bishops to a second-place finish at the Denison Fall Classic on Sunday at Granville Golf Course.

Otterbein won the tournament with an 11-under-par 557, finishing 25 shots ahead of Ohio Wesleyan's total of 582. Allegheny was third with a 597, followed by DePauw and Franklin (600), Wittenberg (604), John Carroll (606), Muskingum and Mount Union (608), with Baldwin-Wallace rounding out the top 10 with a 610. Denison was 11th with a 614, followed by Wabash (638), Wooster (644), Hiram (675) and Kenyon (677).

Schroeder tied for fourth place among individuals with an even-par 142. Sophomore Rory Hotaling (Yellow Springs) and freshman Andy Schillig (Pataskala/Licking Heights) finished in a tie for eighth place at 145, senior Doug McCullough (Sleepy Hollow, Ill./St. Edward) tied for 45th place with a 156 and freshman Jeff Nieman (Loveland/Cincinnati Moeller) tied for 57th place at 159.
