Ohio Wesleyan 18, Eastern 4

Sophomore midfielder Harrison Iuliano (Mendham, N.J./Blair Academy) scored twice during a 7-0 first-quarter run that started Ohio Wesleyan on its way to a non-conference win over Eastern on Monday at Selby Field.

Senior attacker Jarred Law (Littleton, Colo./Arapahoe) scored a minute into the game and sophomore midfielder Chris Eccles (Secane, Pa./Monsignor Bonner) followed with a goal before consecutive scores by Iuliano gave the Bishops a 4-0 lead.

Senior midfielder Kevin Lakani (Riverwoods, Ill./Loyola Academy), freshman attacker Karl Zimmerman (Utica, Mich./Brother Rice) and freshman attacker Eric Turner (Columbus/Dublin Scioto) added goals for a 7-0 Ohio Wesleyan lead after the first quarter.

Eastern was assessed an illegal stick penalty at the beginning of the second quarter, and the Bishops took advantage with man-up goals by Zimmerman and Lakani, then Iuliano's third goal of the game increased the Ohio Wesleyan lead to 10-0.

Eastern got on the scoreboard with a man-up goal by Michael Ryan.

Zimmerman finished with 3 goals and 2 assists, while Iuliano scored 3 goals and Law contributed a goal and 5 assists. Lakani and freshman attacker Harrison Young (Middleburg, Va./Highland School) scored 2 goals apiece and Turner added a goal and 2 assists.

Pat Dempsey led the Eagles with 2 goals and an assist.

Sophomore Ryan Perone (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Prep) started in goal for Ohio Wesleyan. Freshman Alex Crawford (Marietta, Ga./Lassiter) had 4 saves and freshman Matt Cipolla (Harrison, N.Y.) had 2 saves for the Bishops.

Zach Rivest made 12 saves for Eastern.
