Earlham 4, Ohio Wesleyan 3

Senior David Kubacki (Toledo/St. Francis de Sales) and freshman Daniel Thangarajah (Dublin/Scioto) were double winners, but Earlham rallied to win a North Coast Athletic Conference match from Ohio Wesleyan on Saturday in Granville.

The Bishops swept doubles play, with Kubacki pairing with junior Dilshad Abeygunawardana (Colombo, Sri Lanka/Colombo International School) to win at No. 1 doubles, sophomore McCarton Ackerman (Stamford, Conn./Westminster School) and senior Jeff Van Schaick (Potomac, Md./Episcopal (Va.)) winning at No. 2 doubles and Thangarajah teaming with freshman Taimour Khan (Lahore, Pakistan/Aitchison) for a win at No. 3 doubles.

With the doubles point in hand, however, the Bishops were able to notch singles wins from only Kubacki at No. 1 and Thangarajah at No. 6, with the Quakers taking the other 4 matches to escape with the win.
