at Otterbein Qualifier

Freshman Ryan Ellis (Columbus/Dublin Scioto) turned in Ohio Wesleyan's best individual finish to lead the Bishops at the Otterbein Qualifier on Wednesday in Westerville.

The meet, which included competitors from Ashland, Capital, Heidelberg, Ohio Northern, Ohio Wesleyan, Otterbein, Tiffin and Wittenberg, was not scored.

Ellis finished fifth in the 100-meter dash.

Other standouts for the Bishops included sophomore Joshua Steinke (Wapakoneta), who placed sixth in the shot put and the discus; freshman Nathan Osborn (Edgerton), who was sixth in the 100-meter dash; freshman Preston Osborn (Edgerton), who finished sixth in the 200-meter dash; and senior Dan Melcher (Conneaut), who placed sixth in the 400-meter dash.
