Sophomore attacker Alexa Deaton (Eden, Md./Mercersburg Academy) and sophomore midfielder Lura Allen (Hingham, Mass.) scored 3 goals apiece as Ohio Wesleyan raced to a 14-1 halftime lead and went on to defeat Whittier in non-conference play on Thursday in Whittier, Calif.

Deaton finished with 3 goals and 2 assists, while freshman midfielder Channing Bush (Chevy Chase, Md./Connelly School) had 3 goals and an assist and Allen finished with 3 goals.

Junior attacker Jamie Blake (Ballston Lake, N.Y./Shenendehowa) contributed 2 goals and 3 assists, while sophomore midfielder Julia Fouts (Cleveland Heights/Hathaway Brown) had 2 goals and an assist and sophomore attacker Kelsey Lake (Lake Oswego, Ore.) and freshman attacker Hannah Mudge (Baltimore, Md./St. Paul's School) each scored twice.

Sophomore Maggie Eichenlaub (Crystal, Minn./Robbinsdale Cooper) stopped 4 shots in the Ohio Wesleyan goal.
