Seven Bishops Named to
All-NCAC Lacrosse Teams

DELAWARE, OHIO -- A total of 7 Ohio Wesleyan University women's lacrosse players were named to the All-North Coast Athletic Conference teams, it was announced today.

Sophomore midfielder Lura Allen (Hingham, Mass.) and junior attacker Jamie Blake (Ballston Lake, N.Y./Shenendehowa) were first-team All-NCAC selections; while sophomore midfielder Alexa Deaton (Eden, Md./Mercersburg Academy), sophomore goalkeeper Maggie Eichenlaub (Crystal, Minn./Robbinsdale Cooper), sophomore midfielder Julia Fouts (Cleveland Heights/Hathaway Brown), junior defender Jana Kramer (Columbus/Hilliard Davidson) and freshman attacker Hannah Mudge (Baltimore, Md./St. Pauls) were second-team All-NCAC choices.

Allen ranked fifth on the team and third among Ohio Wesleyan midfielders in scoring with 27 goals and 13 assists. She was a second-team All-NCAC selection in 2005.

Blake led the Bishops in scoring with 26 goals and 22 assists for 48 points. She was a second-team All-NCAC selection in 2005 and an honorable mention All-NCAC pick in 2004.

Deaton scored a team-high 33 goals and added 12 assists to rank second on the team and lead Bishop midfielders in scoring with 45 points.

Eichenlaub ranked second among NCAC goalkeepers with a .551 saves percentage this season. She was an honorable mention All-NCAC pick in 2005.

Fouts ranked third on the team in scoring this season with 29 goals and 15 assists for 44 points.

Kramer, the Bishops' top defender, helped Ohio Wesleyan limit opponents to an average of 7.0 goals per game this season. She was a first-team All-NCAC choice in 2005 and an honorable mention All-NCAC pick in 2004.

Mudge ranked fourth on the team in scoring this season with 32 goals and 11 assists for 43 points.

Ohio Wesleyan finished the season with a 12-3 record. The Battling Bishops finished second in the NCAC regular-season standings.
