4th of 7 at GLCA championship

Senior Nina DiTraglia (Portsmouth/Gilmour Academy) led Ohio Wesleyan to a fourth-place finish at the Great Lakes Colleges Association championship meet on Saturday in Albion, Mich.

Denison won the meet with a total of 29 points to 43 for second-place Oberlin. Albion was third with 80 points, followed by Ohio Wesleyan (122), Kenyon (125), Kalamazoo (138) and Earlham (171).

DiTraglia finished 10th among individuals, running the 5000-meter course in a time of 19:54.

Freshman Catie Coleman (Medina/Lodi Cloverleaf) placed 19th in 20:30, senior Meggie Feran (Kirtland) finished 27th in 20:46, freshman Leah Schmelzer (Marion/Pleasant) followed in 31st place in 20:54, and freshman Laura Binkley (Columbus/Bishop Watterson) completed the Bishop scoring by finishing 42nd in 21:37. Junior Laura Bange (Cincinnati/St. Ursula) finished 43rd in 21:38 and sophomore Donna Langerfeld (Syracuse, NY/Westhill) was 46th in a time of 21:51.
