Freshman Catie Coleman (Medina/Lodi Cloverleaf) led the way as Ohio Wesleyan turned in an impressive effort at the Greater Louisville Cross Country Classic on Saturday in Louisville, Ky. Competing in a field that included several NCAA Division I institutions and a similar number of top-25 NAIA teams, the Bishops finished 18th in the overall standings.

Ohio State won the meet with 69 points to 97 for Tennessee-Chattanooga. Cedarville was third with 138 points, followed by Xavier (156), Dayton (237), Georgia State and Southeast Missouri State (261), Point Loma Nazarene (300) and Indiana Wesleyan (320). Lipscomb and Wright State tied for 10th place at 332, followed by Bellarmine (336), Aquinas (395), Morehead State (406), Louisville (415), Biola (449), Centre (460), Ohio Wesleyan (463) and Taylor (474). Shawnee State rounded out the top 20 with 490 points, followed by Cumberland (523), Lindenwood (539), Hanover (546), Evansville (594), Campbellsville (595), Roberts Wesleyan (607), Austin Peay State (752), Marian (759), Cornerstone (773), Sewanee (847), Baker (881) and Wheeling Jesuit (906). Coleman finished 53rd among individuals, completing the 5000-meter course in 19:27.77. Senior Nina DiTraglia (Portsmouth/Gilmour Academy)
was 59th in 19:32.49, senior Meggie Feran (Kirtland) finished 99th in 20:04.14, freshman Leah Schmelzer (Marion/Pleasant) placed 106th in 26:09.26 and freshman Laura Binkley (Columbus/Bishop Watterson) completed the Bishop scoring, finishing 164th in 21:13.76.

Junior Laura Bange (Cincinnati/St. Ursula) finished 166th in 21:15.31 and sophomore Donna Langerfeld (Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill) was 183rd in a time of 21:39.93.

In the "blue" race, freshman Jillian Musarra (Cleveland Heights/Hawken) led the Bishops as Ohio Wesleyan placed 11th of 14 teams.

Musarra finished 53rd among individuals in a time of 23:24.57. Junior Jessica Schaffner (Kent/Mogadore Field) was 60th in 23:49.84, junior Jillian Snyder (Lakewood) placed 62nd in 23:54.69, sophomore Madeline Pinault (Fair Haven, N.J./Rumson-Fair Haven) finished 65th in 24:00.16 and freshman Caitlin Chesnut (Wilmington) completed the Bishop scoring with a 75th-place finish in 24:45.58. Senior Megan First finished 90th in 26:25.89
