4th of 9 at NCAC championship

Freshman Catie Coleman (Medina/Lodi Cloverleaf) and senior Nina DiTraglia (Portsmouth/Gilmour Academy) earned all-conference honors in leading Ohio Wesleyan at the North Coast Athletic Conference championship meet, hosted by Denison University on Saturday in Granville.

Denison won the meet with 37 points to 71 for runner-up Oberlin. Allegheny was third with 95 points, followed by Ohio Wesleyan (100), Kenyon (104), Earlham (141), Wooster (154), Wittenberg (215) and Hiram (279).

Coleman and DiTraglia finished ninth and 10th respectively among individuals to earn second-team All-NCAC laurels. Coleman finished the 6000-meter course in a time of 23:46, just ahead of DiTraglia's time of 23:49.

Senior Meggie Feran (Kirtland) finished 24th in 24:55, freshman Leah Schmelzer (Marion/Pleasant) placed 26th in 24:59, and junior Laura Bange (Cincinnati/St. Ursula) completed the Ohio Wesleyan scoring with a 31st-place finish in 25:45.

Freshman Laura Binkley (Columbus/Bishop Watterson) was 36th in 24:54 and junior Andrea Minich (Plymouth/Willard) finished 55th in 27:20.
