11th of 31 at NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional

Seniors Will Crabtree (Winchester, Mass.) and Matt Kempton (Fredericktown) led Ohio Wesleyan at the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional championship meet, hosted by Hanover College on Saturday in Hanover, Ind.

Calvin won the meet with 17 points to 119 for runner-up Heidelberg. Ohio Northern was third with 123 points, followed by Mount Union (133), Hope (152), Anderson (159), DePauw (171), Case Reserve (251), Wabash (258), Otterbein (323) and Ohio Wesleyan (339).

Crabtree and Kempton posted 48th- and 49th-place finishes in respective times of 27:06.1 and 27:07.5 for the 8000-meter course.

Sophomore David Stefanik (Wooster) was 69th in 27:26.2, sophomore Alex Havran (Woodinville, Wash./Overlake) finished 83rd in 27:38.2 and sophomore Clay Davis (Dublin/Coffman) rounded out the Ohio Wesleyan scoring by placing 92nd in 27:44.7.

Junior Pete MacLeod (Hudson) placed 137th and senior Kevin Goehring (Ann Arbor, Mich./Pioneer) was 138, each in an official time of 28:35.9.
