Freshman Sarah Shinn (Edinboro, Pa./General McLane) led Ohio Wesleyan at the Great Lakes Colleges Association championship meet, hosted by Earlham College on Saturday in Richmond, Ind.

Oberlin won the meet with 40 points to 42 for DePauw. Denison was third with 72 points, followed by Ohio Wesleyan (91), Kalamazoo (156), Albion (161), Kenyon (173) and Earlham (221).

Shinn finished sixth among individuals, completing the 5000-meter course in 19:46.

Freshman Claire Everhart (Edinboro, Pa./General McLane) finished 15th in 20:04, sophomore Leah Schmelzer (Marion/Pleasant) placed 18th in 20:13, sophomore Laura Binkley (Columbus/Bishop Watterson) was 28th in 20:38 and sophomore Valerie Sloboda (Columbia, Md./Atholton) completed the Ohio Wesleyan scoring with a 33rd-place finish in 20:50.

Sophomore Catie Coleman (Medina/Lodi Cloverleaf) placed 40th in 21:05 and sophomore Jillian Musarra (Cleveland Heights/Hawken) was 63rd in a time of 21:52.
