Freshman Sarah Shinn (Edinboro, Pa./General McLane), freshman Claire Everhart (Edinboro, Pa./General McLane) and sophomore Leah Schmelzer (Marion/Pleasant) led Ohio Wesleyan at the Carl Broughton Invitational, hosted by Marietta College on Saturday in Marietta.

Ohio Wesleyan won the meet with 26 points to 58 for Wooster. Alderson-Broaddus was third with 74 points, followed by Marietta (78), Muskingum (143), Bethany (180), Fairmont State (190) and Ohio Valley (212).

Shinn, Everhart and Schmelzer finished 2-3-4 among individuals in respective times of 20:30, 20:38 and 20:43 for the 5000-meter course.

Sophomore Laura Binkley (Columbus/Bishop Watterson) was sixth in 20:48 and sophomore Valerie Sloboda (Columbia, Md./Atholton) completed the Ohio Wesleyan scoring with an 11th-place finish in 21:12.

Sophomore Catie Coleman (Medina/Lodi Cloverleaf) placed 12th in 21:18 and senior Amanda Husted (Springfield/Greenon) was 18th in 22:14.
