1st of 12 at Wooster Nye Intercollegiate

Junior Jeff Nieman (Maineville/Cincinnati Moeller) led Ohio Wesleyan to the team title at the Nye Intercollegiate, hosted by the College of Wooster on Saturday and Sunday in Wooster.

Ohio Wesleyan won the tournament with a 603, finishing 9 shots ahead of Olivet. Denison and Allegheny tied for third place at 618, followed by Wooster (629), Wittenberg (632), Muskingum (648), Notre Dame (660), Wabash (663), Hiram (681), Kenyon (700) and Oberlin (720).

Nieman tied for third among individuals, finishing with a 149. Allegheny's Mike Wolfe won medalist honors with a 147.

Sophomore Jordan Benner (Beavercreek) tied for seventh place at 152, sophomore Jesse Chiero (Westerville/South) and sophomore Tommy Harman (Perrysburg) tied for ninth place at 153, and junior Kyle Martin (Dublin/Wellington) tied for 11th place with a 154.

Junior Andy Schillig (Pataskala/Licking Heights), competing as an individual, finished second in the individual standings with a 148.
