at NCAC championship

[ Jesse Chiero ]Sophomore Jesse Chiero (Westerville/South) was leading Ohio Wesleyan at the halfway point of the North Coast Athletic Conference tournament, hosted by Denison University on Saturday at the Granville Golf Course in Granville.

Ohio Wesleyan was in first place with a total of 435 through Saturday's 27 holes. Denison and Wittenberg were tied for second place at 466, followed by Allegheny (467), Wooster (478), Wabash (481), Hiram (500), Oberlin (531) and Kenyon (532). Saturday Results

Chiero was leading the field with a total of 108 through the first 27 holes.

Sophomore Tommy Harman (Perrysburg) was one shot behind, tied for second place at 109. Junior Jeff Nieman (Maineville/Cincinnati Moeller) was in fourth place at 110, junior Andy Schillig (Pataskala/Licking Heights) was tied for fifth place at 111, and sophomore Jordan Benner (Beavercreek) was tied for eighth place at 112.

The NCAC tournament concludes on Sunday, with the final 27 holes also scheduled to be played at the Granville Golf Course.
