![]() 1st of 9 at NCAC championship May 3-4, 2008 Ohio Wesleyan won the tournament with a 54-hole total of 887. Allegheny finished in second place with a 922, followed by Wittenberg (938), Denison (940), Wooster (953), Wabash (976), Hiram (1006), Kenyon (1033) and Oberlin (1068). Final Results Chiero won individual honors with a 220, taking the Bob Nye Award as the medalist of the conference tournament. He finished 1 shot ahead of junior Jeff Nieman (Maineville/Cincinnati Moeller). Sophomore Tommy Harman (Perrysburg) and sophomore Jordan Benner (Beavercreek) tied for fourth place at 225 and junior Andy Schillig (Pataskala/Licking Heights) finished 10th with a 231. With the win, Ohio Wesleyan also won the NCAC championship with the best overall score in the 4 conference events this year. Ohio Wesleyan finished with a total of 2669 shots for the 4 tournaments, while Allegheny was second with 2714. Denison was third with a 2796, followed by Wittenberg (2812), Wooster (2820), Wabash (2924), Hiram (3017), and Kenyon (3108).
Nieman finished as the NCAC individual leader, with his total of 667 representing the low individual score in the 4 tournaments. He was joined on the All-NCAC first team by Harman, whose total of 671 ranked second among individuals. |
