Sophomore Jordan Benner (Beavercreek) won medalist honors and junior Jeff Nieman (Maineville/Cincinnati Moeller), senior Rory Hotaling (Yellow Springs) and sophomore Tommy Harman (Perrysburg) posted top-5 finishes to lead Ohio Wesleyan to the team title at the Lamkin Fall Intercollegiate, hosted by Ohio Wesleyan on Tuesday at Oakhaven Golf Club.
Ohio Wesleyan won the tournament with a 36-hole total of 576. Carnegie Mellon and Washington & Jefferson tied for second place at 605, followed by Franklin (610), Denison (612), Heidelberg (627), Ohio Northern and Wittenberg (628), Wilmington (629), Muskingum (630) and Capital (637).
Benner, competing as an individual, carded rounds of 70 and 71 to finish at 141. Hotaling, also competing as an individual, tied for third place with a 143.
Nieman finished in second place among individuals, one shot behind Benner at 142. Harman placed fifth with a 144, junior Andy Schillig (Pataskala/Licking
Heights) tied for sixth place at 145, sophomore Jesse Chiero (Westerville/South) tied for ninth place with a 146 and junior Adam Claytor (Columbus/Wellington) tied for 22nd place with a 153.
