Sophomore Tommy Harman (Perrysburg) led Ohio Wesleyan at the Griffin Motors Classic, hosted by Allegheny College on Saturday and Sunday at the Country Club of Meadville in Meadville, Pa.
The 36-hole event is the second of 3 regular-season tournaments which count toward determining the North Coast Athletic Conference's automatic qualifer for the NCAA Division III championships.
Allegheny won the tournament with a 579 to Ohio Wesleyan's 587. Wittenberg
finished in third place with a 614, followed by Wooster and Denison (623), Wabash (639), Hiram (659) and Kenyon (696).
Harman finished in a second-place tie among individuals with a 144. Junior Andy Schillig (Pataskala/Licking
Heights) tied for sixth place with a 148, junior Jeff Nieman (Maineville/Cincinnati Moeller) tied for eighth place at 149 and sophomore Jordan Benner (Beavercreek) and senior Rory Hotaling (Yellow Springs) tied for 12th place at 150.
