Junior attacker Nick Gallagher (Columbus/Dublin Scioto) helped Ohio Wesleyan open the game with 7 straight goals and the Bishops went on to defeat Fontbonne in their season opener on Saturday in St. Louis, Mo.

Ohio Wesleyan raced to a 7-0 lead and led by a margin of 11-4 at halftime.

Gallagher led the Bishops with 4 goals. Junior attacker Karl Zimmerman (Utica, Mich./Brother Rice) added 2 goals and an assist, senior midfielder Chris Eccles (Secane, Pa./Monsignor Bonner) finished with a goal and 3 assists and senior attacker Harrison Iuliano (Mendham, N.J./Blair Academy) contributed a goal and 2 assists.

Senior Ryan Perone (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Prep) worked the first half in the Bishop goal and made 3 saves, while freshman Jud Hall (Columbus/Upper Arlington) manned the pipes and stopped 8 Griffin shots during the second half.
