[ Nick Gallagher ]Junior attacker Nick Gallagher (Columbus/Dublin Scioto) scored 3 goals and sophomore attacker Rob Young (Langhorne, Pa./Council Rock South) added 2 more as Ohio Wesleyan opened the game with a 7-0 run and went on to defeat Mount St. Joseph in non-conference play on Wednesday in Cincinnati.

Gallagher's goal 2 minutes into the game put the Bishops on the scoreboard, and he added a goal midway through the first quarter for a 2-0 Ohio Wesleyan lead.

Senior midfielder Trevor Jones (Flanders, N.J./West Morris Mendham) followed with a goal, and Young added a pair of goals 20 seconds apart to stretch the Bishop lead to 5-0, and Gallagher and junior midfielder Connor McGowan (Worthington/Thomas Worthington) scored to give Ohio Wesleyan a 7-0 lead.

Ohio Wesleyan got a pair of goals from Gallagher and single scores by senior midfielder Chris Eccles (Secane, Pa./Monsignor Bonner) and senior attacker Harrison Iuliano (Mendham, N.J./Blair Academy) made it an 11-1 game at halftime.

Gallagher led the Bishops with 7 goals and an assist, while Young finished with 2 goals.

Freshman Jud Hall (Columbus/Upper Arlington) was credited with 5 saves, while freshman Frankie Weschler (Wilmette, Ill./Loyola Academy) and freshman Andrew Busweiler (West Islip, N.Y.) were not tested during their fourth-quarter stints in the Bishop goal.

Anthony Pezzuitt scored 2 goals for Mount St. Joseph. Eric Wolery had 21 saves in the Lion cage.
