[ Tyler Wall ]Freshman forward Tyler Wall (Columbus/Upper Arlington) scored a pair of second-half goals to lift Ohio Wesleyan over Denison in North Coast Athletic Conference action on Wednesday in Granville.

Denison outshot the Bishops, 6-2, during the first half, but senior goalkeeper Jamison Dague (Bexley) was equal to the task, turning aside 4 Big Red shots.

The edge in play turned to the Bishops in the second half, as the Ohio Wesleyan defense held Denison to one shot during the period.

Wall gave the Bishops a 1-0 lead with a goal in the 67th minute. Senior midfielder Nick Skoczen (Chagrin Falls/Kenston) sent the ball forward to freshman midfielder Chad Baker (Dublin/Jerome), who passed it on to Wall. Wall fired a shot at Denison keeper Kevin Donahue, who made a diving save, but Wall pounced on the offensive rebound and tucked it into the open net.

Wall struck again in the 73rd minute. Freshman back Eric Laipple (Westerville/South) sent a long ball ahead to freshman forward Tyler Bryant (Chillicothe/Unioto), who flicked it ahead to Wall, setting up a one-on-one with Donahue, and Wall converted for a 2-0 Bishop lead.

Ohio Wesleyan outshot Denison, 9-7. Dague was not tested during the second half and finished with 4 saves, while Donahue had 4 saves for the Big Red.
