![]() Wittenberg 125, Ohio Wesleyan 93 Nov. 2, 2007 Sophomore Kevin Fahey (Delaware/Hayes) won 2 events and helped a relay team to another win to lead Ohio Wesleyan in a dual meet against North Coast Athletic Conference rival Wittenberg on Friday at Pfeiffer Natatorium. Fahey won the 200 IM and the 100 freestyle in respective times of 2:05.59 and :50.79. He combined with sophomore Usman Javaid (Lahore, Pakistan/Aitchison), sophomore Nathaniel Cook (Delaware/Hayes), and sophomore David Gatz (Delaware/Hayes) to win the 200 medley relay in 1:43.16. Also claiming first-place finishes for Ohio Wesleyan were sophomore Jaimito Fuentes (Massillon/Glen Oak), who won the 100 breaststroke in 1:03.21 and added second-place finishes in the 200 IM and the 100 butterfly; Javaid, who won the 100 backstroke in :58.97 and finished second in the 200 freestyle; and Gatz, who won the 100 butterfly in :56.91 and placed second in the 50 freestyle. Other standouts for the Bishops included sophomore Brad Russell (Delaware/Hayes), who finished second in the 1-meter diving; sophomore Christopher Potterton (Needham, Mass.), who was second in the 500 freestyle; and Cook, who placed second in the 100 breaststroke. |
