![]() 4th of 4 at Washington Invitational Nov. 17-18, 2007 Sophomore David Gatz (Delaware/Hayes) won an event to lead Ohio Wesleyan at the Washington Invitational on Saturday and Sunday in St. Louis. Lindenwood won the meet with 973 points to 925 for host Washington. Sewanee was third with 579 points and Ohio Wesleyan had 465 points. Gatz won the 100 breaststroke in :58.93 and added a second-place finish in the 200 breaststroke and a fifth in the 1650 freestyle. Other standouts for the Bishops included sophomore Brad Russell (Delaware/Hayes), who was third in the 1-meter diving; sophomore Kevin Fahey (Delaware/Hayes), who placed fourth in the 500 freestyle, fifth in the 400 IM and seventh in the 200 backstroke; sophomore Jaimito Fuentes (Massillon/Glen Oak), who was fourth in the 200 breaststroke, seventh in the 100 backstroke and eighth in the 400 IM; sophomore Christopher Potterton (Needham, Mass.), who placed sixth in the 200 freestyle and seventh in the 1650 freestyle; sophomore Nathaniel Cook (Delaware/Hayes), who was seventh in the 200 breaststroke and eighth in the 200 breaststroke; sophomore Tony Wong (Cleveland/Cleveland Heights), who finished eighth in the 200 freestyle; and sophomore Andrew Sisson (Greensburg, Pa./Greater Latrobe), who was eighth in the 1650 freestyle. Fahey, Cook, Gatz, and Fuentes combined to finish second in the 400 medley relay and third in the 200 medley relay. The Bishop 400 freestyle relay team of Fuentes, Potterton, Gatz and Fahey placed third, while the 200 freestyle relay team of Wong, junior Todd Ufferman (Delaware/Hayes), Cook and Sisson finished fourth. |
