Junior Garrett Paknis (Morristown, N.J./Madison) and freshman Zach Weaver (Westerville/South) were double winners as Ohio Wesleyan defeated Defiance on Wednesday in Hilton Head, S.C. The match was played to decision.

Ohio Wesleyan swept doubles play, with Paknis combining with junior Daniel Thangarajah (Dublin/Scioto) for a win at No. 2 doubles and Weaver pairing with senior Jeff Hering (Sherborn, Mass./Palo Alto (Calif.)) for a win at third doubles. Sophomore Adrian Barker (Shaker Heights) and sophomore Brandon Luttinger (Hingham, Mass.) completed the Bishop sweep with a win at No. 1 doubles.

Paknis then finished off his Yellow Jacket opponent in straight sets at No. 4 singles, and Weaver's straight-set decision at No. 6 singles gave the Bishops the match.
