![]() 3rd of 17 at Division III All-Ohio championship Feb. 16, 2008 Ohio Northern won the meet with 114 points to 90 for second-place Heidelberg and 75 1/3 for the third-place Bishops. Baldwin-Wallace finished fourth with 44 points, followed by Defiance (32 1/3), Otterbein (30), Wittenberg and Capital (26), and Denison (25 1/3). Wilmington rounded out the top 10 with 25 points, followed by Marietta (24), Muskingum (21), Case Reserve (20), John Carroll (12), Wooster (11), Oberlin (9) and Kenyon (0). Osborn won the 400-meter dash in a time of :50.70. He also combined with junior Ryan Ellis (Columbus/Dublin Scioto), sophomore Bryce Mathias (Centerburg) and junior Nathan Osborn (Edgerton) to finish third in the 1600-meter relay. Other standouts for the Bishops included sophomore David Burke (Hudson), who placed second in the triple jump and fifth in the long jump; freshman Jordan Exeter (Toronto, Ontario/Mercersburg (Pa.) Academy), who finished second in the 55-meter dash and sixth in the long jump; freshman Jack Schemenauer (Luckey/Eastwood), who finished third in the 55-meter hurdles; junior Andrew Bloom (Powell/Worthington Kilbourne), who was fifth in the 55-meter hurdles; junior David Stefanik (Wooster), who finished fifth in the 5000-meter run; Nathan Osborn, who was sixth in the 400-meter dash; freshman Sean Patrick (Delaware/Hayes), who placed seventh in the 55-meter dash; junior Gary Brenneman (Fredericktown), who placed seventh in the mile run; Mathias, who was seventh in the 400-meter dash; junior Clay Davis (Dublin/Coffman), who finished eighth in the 5000-meter run; sophomore Christian Schlabach (Wooster/Triway), who was eighth in the mile run; and junior Jon Smith (Clyde/Bellevue), who tied for eighth in the pole vault. The Bishop 800-meter relay team of Ellis, Patrick, Exeter and Nathan Osborn placed third, while the distance medley relay team of junior Alex Havran (Woodinville, Wash./Overlake), freshman Kody Law (Reynoldsburg), junior Garret Andre-Johnson (Walnut Creek, Calif./Berkeley) and Schlabach was fourth. |
