Freshman Jack Schemenauer (Luckey/Eastwood) won 2 events to lead the Bishops to the team title at the Muskingum Invitational on Saturday in New Concord.

Ohio Wesleyan compiled 183 points to 137 for Muskingum. Baldwin-Wallace finished third with 92 points, followed by Walsh (88), Kenyon (81), West Liberty State (15) and Ashland (10).
Final results

Schemenauer won the 110- and 400-meter hurdles in respective times of :15.74 and :57.24.

Also winning events for Ohio Wesleyan were freshman Jordon Exeter (Toronto, Ontario/Mercersburg (Pa.) Academy), who won the 200-meter dash in :23.07 and finished fourth in the long jump; sophomore David Burke (Hudson), who won the long jump with a leap of 19-8 1/4 and placed fourth in the high jump; and junior Gary Brenneman (Fredericktown), who won the 800-meter run in 2:03.28.

The Bishop 1600-meter relay team of junior Ryan Ellis (Columbus/Dublin Scioto), junior Nathan Osborn (Edgerton), junior Garret Andre-Johnson (Walnut Creek, Calif./Berkeley) and junior Preston Osborn (Edgerton) won its event in 3:30.46.

Other standouts for the Bishops included junior Alex Havran (Woodinville, Wash./Overlake), who placed second in the 3000-meter steeplechase; junior David Stefanik (Wooster), who was second in the 1500-meter run; sophomore Steve Brown (Redford Township, Mich./Redford), who finished second in the 110-meter hurdles; sophomore Bryce Mathias (Centerburg), who was third in the 110-meter hurdles and the 400-meter hurdles; sophomore Kyle Faris (Olmsted Falls), who placed third in the shot put and fifth in the discus; freshman Sean Patrick (Delaware/Hayes), who finished third in the 400-meter dash; junior Jon Smith (Clyde/Bellevue), who was third in the pole vault; junior Andrew Bloom (Powell/Worthington Kilbourne), who was fourth in the 110-meter hurdles and seventh in the 400-meter hurdles; senior Joe Berlyoung (Elyria/Avon), who finished fourth in the 3000-meter steeplechase; senior Michael Tornifolio (Stow), who placed fourth in the pole vault; Andre-Johnson, who was fifth in the 1500-meter run; and sophomore Christian Schlabach (Wooster/Triway), who placed fifth in the 5000-meter run.
