Mathias won the 400-meter dash in a time of :53.06 and added a fourth-place finish in the 55-meter hurdles. Patrick won the 200-meter dash in :23.07 and finished fourth in the 55-meter dash. Other standouts for the Bishops included freshman Jack Schemenauer (Luckey/Eastwood), who placed second in the 55-meter hurdles and fourth in the 400-meter dash; junior Ryan Ellis (Columbus/Dublin Scioto), who finished second in the 200-meter dash; freshman Jordan Exeter (Toronto, Ontario/Mercersburg (Pa.) Academy), who was third in the 55- and 200-meter dashes; sophomore Dain Malaniak (Poland/Seminary), who placed third in the 400-meter dash and fourth in the 200-meter dash; junior Andrew Bloom (Powell/Worthington Kilbourne), who was third in the 500-meter run; sophomore Josh Sulser (Johnstown/Johnstown-Monroe), who finished third in the shot put; sophomore Kyle Faris (Olmsted Falls), who was third in the weight throw; and junior Bobby Polley (Wexford, Pa./North Allegheny), who placed fifth in the shot put. |
