Junior David Stefanik (Wooster) led Ohio
Wesleyan at the Mel Brodt Invitational, hosted
by Bowling Green State University on Saturday in Bowling Green.
Malone won the meet with 23 points to 64 for Ohio University. Oakland was third
with 69 points, followed by Ashland (109), Marshall (134),
Toledo (203), Northwood (210), Ohio Wesleyan (229) and Findlay (236). Indiana-Purdue-Fort Wayne rounded out the top 10 with a score of 250, followed by Bowling Green State (289) and Tiffin (383).
Stefanik finished 34th among individuals, covering the 8000-meter course
in 26:29.97.
Junior Clay Davis
(Dublin/Coffman) finished 44th in 26:32.32, sophomore
Christian Schlabach (Wooster/Triway) placed 50th in 26:43.25, senior Pete MacLeod
(Hudson) was 70th in 27:13.06, and junior Gary Brenneman (Fredericktown) completed the Bishop scoring with a 74th-place finish in 27:24.92.
Junior Alex Havran (Woodinville, Wash./Overlake) placed 81st in 27:37.74 and freshman John Thatcher (Centerburg) followed in 82nd place in 27:41.65.
