Bishops' Rudegeair Named NCAC Player of Week

[ Dustin Rudegeair ]DELAWARE, OHIO -- Ohio Wesleyan University senior Dustin Rudegeair (Yellow Springs) has been named North Coast Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week of Jan. 14, it was announced by the NCAC.

Rudegeair, a post on the Battling Bishop men's basketball team, led the Bishops with 21 points in a 76-63 win over Kenyon in an NCAC contest on Wednesday. He went 9-for-12 from the field and shared the team lead with 9 rebounds.

He then hit a 3-pointer during a 9-0 run that helped Ohio Wesleyan open up a double-digit lead, and added a pair of baskets during an 11-1 burst that extended the Bishop lead to 20 points as Ohio Wesleyan defeated Hiram, 91-53, in NCAC action on Saturday. Rudegeair finished with team bests of 23 points and 11 rebounds.

On the week, he scored 44 points while going 17-for-27 from the field.
