Bishops' Graf Named NCAC Player of Week

DELAWARE, OHIO -- Ohio Wesleyan University senior Steffi Graf (Poland/Seminary) has been named North Coast Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the week of Dec. 30, it was announced by the NCAC.

Graf, a wing on the Battling Bishop women's basketball team, scored 11 points and added 4 rebounds and 4 assists as Ohio Wesleyan defeated Adrian, 74-67, in the first round of the South Padre Island Shootout on Friday in South Padre Island, Texas.

She then led the Bishops with 5 assists and 4 steals and contributed 4 points in a 59-38 win over Ripon in Saturday's championship game of the South Padre Island Shootout. Ripon's 38 points in the contest marked the fewest allowed in a game by Ohio Wesleyan since Jan. 6, 2003, when the Bishops defeated Hilbert, 69-27, in Gund Arena in Cleveland.

Graf was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player.
