Senior outside hitter Steffi Graf (Poland/Seminary) and sophomore outside hitter Kristin Kovach (Chagrin Falls/Kenston) posted back-to-back double-digit efforts kills to power Ohio Wesleyan to a sweep of 2 matches on Saturday in Meadville, Pa.

The Bishops defeated Allegheny in North Coast Athletic Conference action, overcoming a 2-games-to-1 deficit to edge the Gators by scores of 12-30, 31-29, 26-30, 30-27, 17-15. Ohio Wesleyan followed that by defeating Case Reserve by scores of 30-24, 23-30, 30-21, 31-29.

Graf blasted 18 kills and led the Bishops with 44 digs against Allegheny, while Kovach followed with 17 kills. Junior setter Shea Pence (Danville, Ind./Danville Community) led the way with 37 assists, with freshman setter Sarah Marshall (Lima/Senior) adding 17 more.

Defensive standouts for the Bishops included junior middle hitter Katie Hamilton (Hilliard/Darby), who compiled 11 blocks; senior middle hitter Kelli Lester (Pataskala/Watkins Memorial), who added 6 blocks; and senior libero Jaime Scharf (Marion/River Valley), who had 36 digs.

Graf led the Bishops with 18 kills against Case Reserve, also contributing 26 digs on the defensive side. Kovach added 14 kills and 20 digs, and junior middle hitter Janna Dagley (Beavercreek) had 9 kills.

Pence dished out a team-high 42 assists, Lester led Ohio Wesleyan with 8 blocks, and Scharf compiled a team-leading 27 digs.
