Six Bishops Picked to All-NCAC
Women's Soccer Teams

[ Michelle Corbett ]A total of 6 Ohio Wesleyan University women’s soccer players were named to the All-North Coast Athletic Conference teams, it was announced today.

Junior forward Michelle Corbett (Dublin/Scioto) and senior defender Jessie Seaver (Ann Arbor, Mich./Greenhills) were first-team All-NCAC selections; junior forward Allie Cozzone (Chagrin Falls/Kenston) and senior defender Lindsey Macklin (Columbus/Bexley) were second-team all-conference picks; and senior forward Meredith Gerrick (Durham, N.C./Indianapolis (Ind.) North Central) and senior defender Laura Harper (Columbus/Worthington Kilbourne) were honorable mention choices.

Corbett led the Bishops in scoring with 10 goals and an assist, and had a team-high 5 game-winning goals. She was a first-team All-NCAC selection for the third straight season.

Seaver, Macklin and Harper led an Ohio Wesleyan defense that allowed 22 goals in 19 games while compiling 9 shutouts. Macklin was a first-team All-NCAC choice in 2005 and a second-team selection in 2006, while Harper was an honorable mention pick in 2006.

Cozzone ranked third on the team in scoring with 5 goals and 2 assists. She was a second-team all-conference pick for the third straight season.

Gerrick ranked second on the team in scoring with 5 goals and 3 assists.

Ohio Wesleyan finished the season with a 9-5-5 record. The Bishops finished third in the NCAC championship race and advanced to the semifinals of the conference tournament.
