Ohio Wesleyan 1, Wilmington 1

Junior forward Allie Cozzone (Chagrin Falls/Kenston) scored to wipe out a 1-0 deficit, but Ohio Wesleyan and Wilmington played to a tie in non-conference action on Wednesday in Wilmington.

The Quakers took a 1-0 lead in the 32nd minute when Kristen Elam sent a corner kick into the box and Katie Skaleski sent a header just under the crossbar.

Ohio Wesleyan evened the game in the 80th minute when senior back Lindsey Macklin (Columbus/Bexley) sent the ball to Cozzone, who beat Wilmington keeper Casey McKinney to the near post.

Wilmington had the edge in shots during the first overtime, outshooting Ohio Wesleyan, 3-0, and the Bishops had 2 shots to 1 for Wilmington in the second overtime, but neither team was able to tally the game-winner.

Ohio Wesleyan outshot Wilmington, 17-14. Senior Ali Gary (Gahanna/Lincoln) went the distance in the Ohio Wesleyan goal, making 5 saves. McKinney stopped 7 shots in the Quaker goal.
