Ohio Wesleyan 2, Kenyon 2

Sept. 29, 2007

Junior forward Michelle Corbett (Dublin/Scioto) scored twice as Ohio Wesleyan took a 2-0 lead, but defending North Coast Athletic Conference champion Kenyon rallied to tie the score and the teams played to a 2-2 deadlock in their NCAC opener on Saturday in Gambier.

Corbett tallied unassisted goals in the 33rd and 52nd minutes, staking the Bishops to their 2-0 advantage.

Kenyon closed to within 2-1 just over 5 minutes later when Amy Kessler set up Beth Blackey, then evened the game in the 74th minute when Kessler fed Katie Fee for a score.

The Bishops enjoyed a 2-1 advantage in shots in each overtime period, but could not transform that edge into the game-winning score.

Kenyon outshot Ohio Wesleyan, 21-13. Senior Ali Gary (Gahanna/Lincoln) went the distance in the Ohio Wesleyan goal, making 7 saves. Rosie Davis stopped 5 shots in the Kenyon goal.
